Soccer Recap: Ichabod Crane Takes a Loss

Ichabod Crane fought the good fight in their overtime match against Mechanicville on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Red Raiders by a score of 3-2. Ichabod Crane were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mechanicville apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2015.

Braeden Millar and Aidan Cavagnaro scored both of Ichabod Crane's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Ichabod Crane's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Mechanicville, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2-1.

Looking ahead, Ichabod Crane will face off against Scotia-Glenville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mechanicville, they will challenge Hoosic Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
