Football Recap: Casa Grande Cougars vs. Verrado Vipers

Casa Grande had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.2 points) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Saturday. They strolled past the Verrado Vipers with points to spare, taking the game 24-10.

A big part of Casa Grande's victory came down to the chemistry between Kayla Tacker and her top target Sarah Mountz. Tacker gained 180 total yards and two touchdowns while Mountz threw for 252 yards and two touchdowns. Tacker's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards.

Casa Grande will venture away from home to square off against Mountain Pointe at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mountain Pointe will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Casa Grande surely won't give up without a fight. Verrado does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
