Football Recap: Eisenhower Falls to Moreno Valley in First Game of Season

Eisenhower kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost to the Moreno Valley Vikings on the road by a 14-0 margin. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 22-21 to the Vikings when the teams met back in September of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

A big part of Moreno Valley's win came down to the chemistry between Syree Matthews and his top target Robinson Johnny. Matthews threw for 179 yards and one TD while Johnny picked up 111 receiving yards and one score. Johnny's longest reception was for an incredible 83 yards.

Looking ahead, Eisenhower will head out to take on Colton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Moreno Valley, they will host Paloma Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
