Basketball Game Preview: Northgate Flames vs. Brentwood Spartans

The Northgate Flames will venture away from home to face off against the Brentwood Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Northgate ended up a good deal behind Sewickley Academy and lost 65-51.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brentwood, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past Leechburg 69-30 on Friday. That 39 point margin sets a new team best for the Spartans this season.

Northgate's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8. As for Brentwood, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-9 record.

Everything came up roses for Northgate against Brentwood in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as the squad secured a 106-69 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northgate since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
