Volleyball Game Preview: Wasatch Wasps vs. Salem Hills Skyhawks

Wasatch has gone a perfect 5-0 against Salem Hills recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wasps will venture away from home to square off against the Skyhawks at 6:30 p.m. Wasatch will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.

Wasatch is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Maple Mountain, who was ranked fourth at the time (Wasatch was ranked first). The Wasps put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday.

Wasatch's got stronger as the match went on, holding Maple Mountain to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 25-18.

Foraker Fisher was the offensive standout of the match as he had 11 digs and one assist. He has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times he's played.

Salem Hills not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Timpview as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Skyhawks haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

While Salem Hills won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-24, 25-10.

Wasatch's victory bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Salem Hills, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.

Wasatch was able to grind out a solid victory over Salem Hills in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 3-1. Do the Wasps have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Skyhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
