Basketball Preview: Celeste Blue Devils vs. Trenton Tigers
Celeste is 10-0 against the Tigers since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Celeste Blue Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Trenton Tigers at 8:00 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Celeste and eight for the Tigers.
Celeste suffered their closest loss since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of Bland by a score of 34-31.
Meanwhile, Trenton was the victim of a tough 47-27 loss at the hands of the Tomcats on Friday. Trenton has not had much luck with the Tomcats recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Celeste has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season. As for Trenton, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-18.
Everything came up roses for Celeste against the Tigers when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 64-29 victory. With Celeste ahead 42-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.
