Recap: Carroll Tigers vs. St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans
The Carroll Tigers won the last time they faced the St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans, and things went their way on Friday too. Carroll enjoyed a cozy 67-50 victory over St. Stephen's Episcopal. The win made it back-to-back wins for Carroll.
Carroll was led to victory by Braedon Gomez and Boston Hills. Gomez scored 20 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals, while Hills scored 23 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Milo Gonzales, who scored 8 points along with 5 assists.
When it comes to explaining why St. Stephen's Episcopal lost, one person who can't be blamed is Will Gasink. Despite the final result, he scored 27 points along with 5 steals. The contest was Gasink's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Gabriel Sahely was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Carroll's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for St. Stephen's Episcopal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
Carroll will square off against McAllen Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Stephen's Episcopal is on the road again on Friday and play against Santa Rosa at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. Santa Rosa will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1062nd, while St. Stephen's Episcopal is ranked 386th).
