Carroll was led to victory by Braedon Gomez and Boston Hills. Gomez scored 20 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals, while Hills scored 23 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Milo Gonzales, who scored 8 points along with 5 assists.
When it comes to explaining why St. Stephen's Episcopal lost, one person who can't be blamed is Will Gasink. Despite the final result, he scored 27 points along with 5 steals. The contest was Gasink's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Gabriel Sahely was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Carroll's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for St. Stephen's Episcopal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
Carroll will square off against McAllen Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Stephen's Episcopal is on the road again on Friday and play against Santa Rosa at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. Santa Rosa will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1062nd, while St. Stephen's Episcopal is ranked 386th).
