Softball Recap: Seven Straight Home Victories for Cimarron

There's no place like home for Cimarron, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Lakin Broncs on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Bluejays in their matchups with the Broncs: they've now won nine in a row.

Quinn Campbell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Cimarron let Tigi Greene and Abby Becker run wild. Greene got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run, while Becker went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Yesenia Garfio, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Cimarron pushed their record up to 11-8 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 6.4 runs. As for Lakin, their record is now 6-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Broncs beat Cimarron by a score of 6-5 later that day.
