Softball Recap: Brainerd Beats Moorhead for Their Third Straight Win

Brainerd extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 4-2 in the process. They never let the Moorhead Spuds get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Moorhead, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3. The contest marked the first time this year in which they were not able to get on the board.

For Moorhead's part, Kenadi Kays spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brainerd will square off against Willmar at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Moorhead, they will take on Monticello at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
