After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Collegiate, Horace Mann was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They skirted past the Riverdale Country Falcons 3-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Miller Siegel was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Augie Grimstad, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Horace Mann's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Riverdale Country, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Horace Mann is set to face off against their familiar foe Trevor Day at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Riverdale Country will take on rival Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
