Football Recap: Alexander Takes a Loss

Alexander lost against Medina Valley back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs fell 30-20 to the Panthers.

Despite the loss, Alexander still got an impressive performance from Gael Rubio, who rushed for 157 yards and a pair of scores. The Bulldogs also got help from Luis Blanco, who showed off his sure hands for 117 receiving yards.

Alexander's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Medina Valley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Alexander will take on Eagle Pass at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Medina Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against United at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense better be ready for this one: the Longhorns have averaged an impressive 33 points per game this season.
