Softball Preview: Stoughton Vikings vs. Sauk Prairie Eagles
Stoughton is a perfect 3-0 against Sauk Prairie since April of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Vikings will head out to challenge the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Stoughton and 16 for Sauk Prairie dating back to last season.
Things were looking good for Stoughton after they put the first run on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Mount Horeb by a score of 4-3.

Madelyn Barsness spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
