Softball Recap: Bakersfield Takes a Loss

Independence hit Bakersfield with a six-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Drillers lost 12-2 to the Falcons. The Drillers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Serenity Hernandez-Alvidrez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases.

Bakersfield's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Independence, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-10.

As of now, neither Bakersfield nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
