Decatur Eisenhower had lost 13 games at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 2-8 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They skirted past the MacArthur Generals 12-11. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-8 on Tuesday.
Makaela Luthey Harner was incredible, getting on base in five of her seven plate appearances with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Morriah Berglin was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Decatur Eisenhower kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Decatur Eisenhower and MacArthur could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Panthers (ranked 524th) will meet Springfield (ranked 110th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, MacArthur will square off against Central A & M at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (548 vs. 262).
