Volleyball Recap: Cumberland Comes Up Short

Cumberland lost against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirates took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-11.

MacKenzie Claybaugh paced Cumberland's offense, picking up four kills. Claybaugh got some help from Alysa Dittamore and her eight assists. Madelyn McElravy controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Cumberland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cumberland will take on Nokomis in a tournament on Saturday. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they will face off against Altamont at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
