Stillman Valley is a perfect 10-0 against Byron since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cardinals will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Stillman Valley is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

On Tuesday, Stillman Valley got the win against North Boone by a conclusive 12-2. Considering the Cardinals have won seven contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Byron fell victim to Genoa-Kingston and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cogs. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Byron saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaidra Poe, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Byron's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Stillman Valley, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.

Stillman Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Byron in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 4-1. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
