Softball Recap: Lackey Takes a Loss

Lackey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Northern Patriots, falling 17-1. The Chargers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Lackey's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Northern, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Lackey will square off against St. Charles on Monday. As for Northern, they will take on McDonough at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.83 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
