Football Game Preview: Grinnell Tigers vs. Pella Dutch

The Grinnell Tigers will challenge the Pella Dutch at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Grinnell is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Newton just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They were dealt a 35-7 loss at the hands of the Cardinals. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Meanwhile, Pella was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Clear Creek-Amana 44-7. The Dutch might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 35 points or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Pella and bumps their season record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 points in those games. As for Grinnell, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Grinnell didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Pella in their previous meeting back in October of 2020, but they still walked away with a 6-0 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dutch turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
