Softball Recap: Chester Comes Up Short

Chester blew Eldred out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Eldred got their revenge. The Hambletonians fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 5-3.

Chester's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Eldred, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

The future could be bright for both Chester and Eldred: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Hambletonians will try to hand Cornwall Central their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on May 6. Meanwhile, Eldred will look to extend Liberty's four-game losing streak when they meet at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
