Basketball Recap: Allen Academy Comes Up Short

Allen Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 39-11 loss at the hands of the Legacy Christian Academy Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1537th, while the Warriors are ranked 688th).

Allen Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Legacy Christian Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.

Allen Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Covenant Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Good Samaritan HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on December 27th.
