Volleyball Recap: Woburn Memorial Gets the Win

The Woburn Memorial Tanners sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the North Andover Scarlet Knights on Monday.

While Woburn Memorial might've won, it sure wasn't easy: North Andover scored at least eight points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 18-25, 21-25, 15-8.

Mateo Qirjazi was a one-man wrecking crew as he had 41 assists and four aces. He is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 17 or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Despite the defeat, North Andover had strong showings from Prady Mistry, who had 16 digs and two aces, and Bernardo Oliveira, who had nine digs and three aces. With that strong performance, Mistry is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game.

Woburn Memorial's record is now 3-4. As for North Andover, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
