Basketball Recap: Cannelton Comes Up Short

Cannelton lost against Rock Creek Academy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cannelton Bulldogs took a blow against the Rock Creek Academy Lions, falling 84-34. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 454th, while the Lions are ranked 184th).

This is the second loss in a row for Cannelton and nudges their season record down to 1-11. As for Rock Creek Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cannelton will welcome Washington Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cannelton is facing Washington Catholic at the right time seeing as Washington Catholic is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Rock Creek Academy, they will face off against Providence at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
