Volleyball Recap: Homestead Takes a Loss

Homestead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Nicolet Knights. The Highlanders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Nicolet scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 21-25, 25-21.

Homestead's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Nicolet, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Homestead will challenge rival Hartford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Nicolet is set to square off against their familiar foe Port Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
