Soccer Recap: Leadership Comes Up Short

Leadership entered their contest against Leadership Public Schools Richmond on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Leadership took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leadership Public Schools Richmond Pumas. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Leadership came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 248th, while Leadership Public Schools Richmond is ranked 1096th).

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 7-2. As for Leadership Public Schools Richmond, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-13.

Coming up, Leadership will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Oakland Tech at 4:00 p.m. Oakland Tech is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season. As for Leadership Public Schools Richmond, they will head out on the road to square off against Oakland at 6:00 p.m. on February 20th.
