Football Recap: Hudson Takes a Loss

Hudson and Archbishop Hoban squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Hudson had to settle for second. They were dealt a 35-3 loss at the hands of the Knights. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Explorers, who until this matchup were averaging 12.77 points allowed.

Nathan Judy threw for 77 yards on 11 of 16 attempts. Anthony Paolucci was his top target, picking up 29 receiving yards.

Hudson's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3. As for Archbishop Hoban, their victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Hudson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Archbishop Hoban, they will challenge Walsh Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Knights 15, the Warriors 9.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
