Basketball Recap: Rooted School Comes Up Short

After soaring to 58 points the game before, Rooted School was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They took a blow against Irvington Preparatory Academy, falling 59-24. The Royals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-14.

Brayden Meredith was nothing short of spectacular for Irvington Preparatory Academy: he went 8 for 10 en route to 20 points and six rebounds. Those 20 points gave Meredith a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Page, who posted 12 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Rooted School's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Irvington Preparatory Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.

Rooted School will face off against Purdue Broad Ripple at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Irvington Preparatory Academy, they will challenge Christel House at Manual at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
