Volleyball Recap: Upper Merion Area Comes Up Short

Upper Merion Area was the 2-1 winner over Bethlehem Catholic when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell 2-0 to the Hawks on Saturday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by Danielle Thornton and Mikaella Ca?ete, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Emily Nguyen and her six assists. Abby D'Alleva controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Upper Merion Area's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Bethlehem Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Upper Merion Area didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-1 tie against Archbishop Ryan on the 30th. As for Bethlehem Catholic, they will be playing at home against Parkland at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
