Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Grayslake Central

Grayslake Central won against Celebration on Monday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Grayslake Central beat the Packer Collegiate Institute Pelicans by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. The Rams' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Colton Ohm looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

On the hitting side, Cal Hanson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, four RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Charlie Surowiec, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Grayslake Central's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Packer Collegiate Institute, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Grayslake Central will face off against Calhoun at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Packer Collegiate Institute, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Collegiate at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give Packer Collegiate Institute their first taste of in-conference action this season.
