Basketball Recap: Mojave Rattlers vs. Canyon Springs Pioneers

Mojave was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Canyon Springs Pioneers, falling 55-17. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rattlers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-34 back in December of 2024.

Several Rattlers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ikaylah Woods, who posted five points and four steals. Ariyanah Custard was another key player, going 5 of 6 en route to 11 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Mojave's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Canyon Springs, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-9.

Mojave didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-41 loss against Durango on the 27th. As for Canyon Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 55-27 win against Sunrise Mountain on the 28th.
