Softball Recap: Dunkirk Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Dunkirk can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They skirted past the Salamanca Warriors 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Marauders: when they faced off against the Warriors back in April, they had to take a 13-1 defeat.

Gabriella Grann spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits.

On the hitting side, Dunkirk's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Grann, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Dunkirk's victory bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Salamanca, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dunkirk will face off against Jamestown at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Salamanca, they will take on Frewsburg at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
