Recap: Ridgeway Roadrunners vs. Kirby Cougars
The Ridgeway Roadrunners scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Kirby by a score of 89-78. Winning may never get old, but Ridgeway sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
It was another big night for Brian Carter Jr., who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Emanuel Allen, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Ridgeway has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Kirby, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeway will take on the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Power Center Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Roadrunners are ranked 19th). As for Kirby, they will play host again and welcome the Wildcats, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully the Cougars likes a good challenge.
