Del Oro won the last time they faced Nevada Union and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Golden Eagles put the hurt on the Miners with a sharp 3-0 win.

Del Oro never let Nevada Union on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16, 25-20.

Hayden Yarnes paced Del Oro's offense, picking up ten kills. Yarnes got some help from James Learn and his 19 assists. Finally, Yarnes was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Despite the loss, Nevada Union had strong showings from Boone Hamilton, who had five aces and two blocks, and Rhyder Eelkema, who had 13 kills.

Del Oro's record now sits at 19-12. As for Nevada Union, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 27-7.

Del Oro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Granite Bay on the 23rd. As for Nevada Union, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Yuba City on the 24th.
