After losing to Hammond Central the last time they met, Hammond Morton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hammond Morton Governors narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Hammond Central Wolves 71-69.

Hammond Morton's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Woods, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 21 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dashawn Woods, who went 9 for 13 en route to 23 points.

Hammond Morton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive games.
