Desert Hills faced Crimson Cliffs in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Thunder fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1. Desert Hills' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Their goal came courtesy of Kennedi Yergensen, who's now up to two this season.

Desert Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Crimson Cliffs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
