Volleyball Recap: Bayfront Charter Takes a Loss

Bayfront Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the San Diego Academy Cavaliers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Wednesday.

Bayfront Charter was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23, 25-13.

Josue Flores had a dynamite game For San Diego Academy., getting 20 digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Flores a new career-high.

Bayfront Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for San Diego Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5.

Looking ahead, Bayfront Charter will be taking part in a tournament against Central at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for San Diego Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Hilltop at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
