It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Bureau Valley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Kewanee Boilermakers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Storm have posted since April 5, 2024.

Bureau Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Kewanee, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bureau Valley will host Annawan-Wethersfield at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Storm's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Kewanee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hall at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
