San Marin won against Redwood last Tuesday with two runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The San Marin Mustangs skirted past the Redwood Giants 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Tuesday.

Tanner O'Keefe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit.

At the plate, San Marin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Krejdovsky, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Krejdovsky hit this season.

The victory made it two in a row for San Marin and bumps their season record up to 4-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Redwood, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.

Coming up, San Marin will head out on the road to challenge Novato at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games San Marin has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Redwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Archie Williams at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Redwood's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
