Basketball Game Preview: Badger Braves vs. Lakeview Bulldogs

Having just played yesterday, the Badger Braves will head out on the road to face off against the Lakeview Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Badger has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 223 points over their last three games.

On Tuesday, Badger was fully in charge, breezing past Windham 70-37. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lakeview, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They strolled past Champion with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 73-55. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Golden Flashes recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Badger better focus on containing Brandon Toot and Isaiah Lantz as the pair were huge in Lakeview's win. Toot dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 steals, while Lantz shot 42% from the field to rack up 21 points and four steals. Trace Goyzueta was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.

Badger's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Lakeview, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Badger was taken down by Lakeview 76-45 when the teams last played back in February of 2019. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
