The Arcadia Titans will challenge the Paradise Honors Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Arcadia comes in on four and Paradise Honors on six.
Arcadia took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Mica Mountain, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Titans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Thunderbolts on Friday, sneaking past 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Titans have posted since March 18th.
Brock Segui tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Arcadia saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Young, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Greenway typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Paradise Honors proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Demons with a sharp 8-2 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.
Noah Rodriguez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up ten Ks.
At the plate, Grayson Leonardis was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Liam Whalen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Paradise Honors' win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Arcadia, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.
