Westlake is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Uintah is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Thunder will welcome the Utes at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lynlee Sperry made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Sperry was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Westlake got a massive performance out of Addison Conder, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. Those seven RBI gave Conder a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lexi Hilton, who went 3-for-4 with five runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Westlake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .516. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Uintah faced Timpanogos in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Utes blew past the Timberwolves 11-1. The Utes have beaten the Timberwolves the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Timberwolves has come to flipping the script.
Lynlee Hall spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up ten Ks.
On the hitting side, Rylee Miller was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Olson, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Westlake has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Uintah, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Westlake has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .499. However, it's not like Uintah struggles in that department as they've averaged .450. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
