Lake Forest Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Vernon Hills Cougars.

While Lake Forest Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22.

Lake Forest Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Vernon Hills, they moved to 6-16 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Lake Forest Academy has already played their next contest (against Evanston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Vernon Hills, they will challenge Highland Park at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
