Basketball Recap: Chief Paul Memorial Has No Trouble Against Kwigillingok

It was a Battle of the Birds when Chief Paul Memorial faced off against Kwigillingok on Saturday. The Chief Paul Memorial Falcons took down the Kwigillingok Eagles 46-28. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kennice Anaver, who posted 14 points. Bessie David was another key player, putting up nine points.

Chief Paul Memorial's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Kwigillingok, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Kongiganak the next time they take the court. Kwigillingok will head out to face Kongiganak at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Chief Paul Memorial will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
