Basketball Recap: New London Comes Up Short

New London and Marinette squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but New London had to settle for second. They fell 49-42 to the Marinette Marines. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

New London's defeat dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Marinette, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 21-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Marinette beat New London by a score of 49-42 later that day.
