The Hozho Academy Wolves will take on the Laguna Acoma Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
On Tuesday, Hozho Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Ramah and fell 3-2. While the Wolves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 25-17 in the first set.
Hozho Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (104-94), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-23, 25-17, 11-25, 16-14.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Audrey Lee, who had six digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. Hayden Tsosie was another key player, getting 13 digs.
Meanwhile, Laguna Acoma entered their tilt with Navajo Pine on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 3-1.
Laguna Acoma had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-4, 25-15, 25-16.
Hozho Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Laguna Acoma, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.
Hozho Academy skirted past Laguna Acoma 3-2 when the teams last played on October 14th. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
