It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Calhoun had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They took down the Jenkins Warriors 72-53. The win was familiar territory for the Yellow Jackets, who have now won 12 games in a row.

Calhoun found their leader in freshman Trace Hawkins, who went 10-for-17 en route to 26 points and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hawkins has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Hammett, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards.

Calhoun's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for Jenkins, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13.

Calhoun wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-57 defeat against Dougherty on the 22nd. Jenkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
