Softball Recap: Glen Allen Takes a Loss

If Glen Allen was riding high fresh off their 18-0 takedown of J.R. Tucker on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jaguars took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Godwin Eagles on Friday. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Glen Allen saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenzie Hueston, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Glen Allen's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Godwin, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Glen Allen is taking a road trip to face off against Freeman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mavericks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.94 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Godwin, they will challenge Matoaca at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
