Baseball Preview: Foran Lions vs. Fairfield Prep Jesuits
Foran is 0-7 against Fairfield Prep since April of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. The Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Jesuits at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Foran proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by six) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Law 7-5. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.
Meanwhile, Fairfield Prep waltzed into their matchup on Monday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Grizzlies. The Jesuits might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.
Anthony Pavano looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched.
