Softball Recap: Scott Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Scott's offense. They came up short against the Cocke County Fighting Cocks on Thursday, falling 6-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Skyhawks have suffered since April 11th.

Scott has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cocke County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Scott and Cocke County will both be playing Fulton the next time they take the field. The Skyhawks will head out to face the Falcons at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Fighting Cocks will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
