Softball Recap: Indian Hill Starts Season with Win at Home

Indian Hill gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They blew past the Mariemont Warriors 13-3. The win continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Rebekah Burroughs spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, Indian Hill let Landry Glenn and Zoey Glenn run wild. Landry scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Zoey scored two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, Zoey posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Marin Messerschmitt, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Indian Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mariemont only posted an OBP of .333.

Mariemont's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
