Baseball Recap: Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans vs. Covenant Day Lions
Wesleyan Christian Academy was the 9-0 winner over Covenant Day when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans fell just short of the Covenant Day Lions by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday.
Wesleyan Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Hammond, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Wesleyan Christian Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. Covenant Day pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
